Tracking Your Diabetes

Be a track star

Watching the news every day lets you know what’s going on in the world. Tracking your blood sugar levels every day lets you know what’s going on with your diabetes. Blood sugar highs and lows can be a problem. Tracking helps you find out if you’re hitting your blood sugar targets and what’s going on each day to impact your numbers. Your healthcare provider gives you an A1c test every 3 to 6 months to determine your average blood sugar levels over time. Combined with your daily blood sugar tracking that you do between A1c tests, these numbers give your healthcare provider and you the information to help know whether your overall diabetes management plan is working, or if you need to reevaluate it.
